translate them into another, provide you with software that can perform this
task repetitively to make your data conversions accurate and efficient.
Examples include taking data and formatting it for submission to the CMS HQI
project.

take your paper contract and input the rules into Contract Management
Software to help you identify where you are being paid correctly. Sometimes
we have to be creative and develop methods even the software vendor did not
know would work.

Our 4 hours turned into a savings of 40 hours of staff time per month

Development of a
Capitation Report Log
A one time 10 hour project
saves 16 hours of staff time per month. Combining a capitation eligibility
file with data from hospital services was no small task, and required a lot
of manual hunt and peck. We set up file imports and now provide output
reports in minutes!

Development of
Core Measures Submission
This took 20 hours and cut processing time from two days to 1 hour per
quarter.
Not only does the hospital get their submission files, they get an internal
data file with which they have set up their own internal process improvement
to maximize their score with Medicare and Joint Commission.

submission.
This was a larger project, taking 150 hours. We cut 200 hours per year of
staff time and improved data quality of submission. Instead of pouring over
charts and manipulating several data files, the process runs a few reports,
pushes a button and voila - - submission files created!

Monthly Managed Care
metrics
In one report, we programmed 18 different measurements for this large
healthcare system to use in their monthly review of Managed Care
performance. Used monthly in over 50 hospitals, it was a good investment.
